Microsoft Takes Aim at Next Windows Mobile

Just as Windows Mobile 5.0 appears to be hitting its stride, Microsoft has begun working on the next generation of its mobile device operating system, which it has code-named Crossbow. Crossbow will include heavy integration with Microsoft Office 2007 and Exchange 12, and could potentially hit the market within the coming year, according to speculation at PC World. Of course, even in the unlikely event that the OS releases in 2006, the slow process by which carriers release new phones would probably delay its appearance on North American handsets until well into next year.

Did you know?
The tongue is a muscle with glands, sensory cells, and fatty tissue that helps to moisten food with saliva. You cannot taste food unless it is mixed with saliva. For instance, if salt is placed on a dry tongue, the taste buds will not be able to identify it. As soon as saliva is added, the salt dissolves and the taste sensation takes place. There are 4 basic tastes. The salt and sweet taste buds are at the tip of the tongue, bitter at the base, and sour along the sides.
